Only five minutes from the main A30, Aviary Court country hotel is an ideal base for exploring the entire South West peninsula, with Cornwall’s main attractions within easy reach.
We are open all year. Winter visits in Cornwall can be wonderful, with quiet touring conditions on the roads, winter sunshine, bracing walks and many attractions still open.
Return to the hotel for a quiet evening with a delicious meal in our dining room.
Heating in each room is individually controllable by the guest.

Attractions in the area
There are many glorious gardens to visit, as well as wonderful walks on the South West Coast Path, which runs right round Cornwall, and the stunning beaches. Tehidy Golf Club, one of the best in Cornwall, is only a few minutes away, as are the beautiful beaches and coastline stretching from Gwithian Towans to Godrevy, with its seal colony and bracing cliff walks. As well as surfing,the area has some very popular off-road cycling trails including the Coast to Coast track. Cycle hire is available nearby. For those enthralled by Cornwall’s industrial history, which has earned it UNESCO World Heritage Site status, the Mineral Tramways network starts nearby, offering fascinating walks through the county’s mining heartland.
Many attractions remain open all year, and this part of the world is equally attractive out of season as in, with the added advantage of fewer crowds, and perfect for a long weekend. St Ives and Hayle, with their harbours and beaches, are within easy reach, as is the cathedral city of Truro, with some of Cornwall’s best shopping, cafes and restaurants, the outstanding Royal Cornwall Museum and the Hall for Cornwall, the county’s premier theatre and live entertainment venue. Aviary Court is only 15 minutes from Truro’s new park-and-ride, from which coaches run to the city centre every 10-15 minutes, calling in at the Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) and Truro Railway Station on the way.
